The Disney+ series returns in October.

The Mandalorian is back in action in the first look at season two.

The Disney+ series from creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni completed shooting season two before the coronavirus pandemic shut down film and TV productions around the world. The team has spent the past few months on post-production for season two of the series, which stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito and Carl Weathers, with newcomers joining this season including Rosario Dawson, Timothy Olyphant, Temuera Morrison and Michael Biehn.

Though no third season has officially been announced, Favreau recently told The Hollywood Reporter that the way The Mandalorian shoots — which includes virtual sets as well as outside shots — could make it easier to get back to work than the average production.

"The fact that the set is much more contained is a benefit because you can limit the number of people," Favreau said. Season two bows on Disney+ on Oct. 30.
