Tommy Lee Jones is joining Matt Damon in the new Jason Bourne movie.
Jones boards Universal's untitled Bourne sequel that already sees rising female star Alicia Vikander and Bourne franchise player Julia Stiles on the roll call.
Heat Vision breakdown
Paul Greengrass is directing the action thriller that is in preproduction as it stares down a July 29, 2016 release date.
Plot details are being kept as hazy as Bourne’s memory (although you can bet it will involve the former secret agent being on the run), but it is known that the script calls for an established actor in an authoritative bureaucratic role.
Greengrass is writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse.
Jones recently directed, starred and co-wrote the Western drama The Homesman and has Summit’s Criminal, where he stars alongside Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman and Ryan Reynolds, in the can.
