Travis Knight to Direct Mark Wahlberg in 'Six Billion Dollar Man'
Bumblebee director Travis Knight is set to tackle the Mark Wahlberg-starring Six Billion Dollar Man.
The long-gestating project, which began development at The Weinstein Co. before being picked up by Warner Bros. in 2017, lost helmer and co-writer Damian Szifron nearly a year ago. Mel Gibson was at one time circling the director's chair.

Wahlberg is set to star as Col. Steve Austin, a downed pilot who is saved by an operation that makes him part machine, in the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of the classic 1970s sci-fi TV show. Bill Dubuque is penning the screenplay.
Sue Kroll, Bill Gerber and Steve Levinson will produce.
Knight made his live-action feature debut with last year's Transformers spinoff Bumblebee, which pulled in $466 million at the global box office. He is the founder of the stop-motion animation studio Laika, which is behind the titles Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings and the new release Missing Link.
Knight is repped at CAA.
