The 3rd annual Game Awards, honoring the best in video games in 2017, are broadcasting live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro, Aisha Tyler and Zachary Levi are slated to appear, and a musical performance by Phoenix is on the docket. The ceremony is being produced by Geoff Keighly, who has served as executive producer since the awards' inaugural show in 2014 and the 10 previous years it aired on Spike TV as the Spike Video Game Awards.

A number of the most notable developers in gaming — from such 2017 hits as Horizon Zero Dawn, Call of Duty: World War II, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Injustice 2, Halo Wars 2, Cuphead and PUBG, among others — will be in attendance.

In addition to honoring the best of this year's gaming crop, new trailers, gameplay and information from upcoming titles will also be revealed during the event.
