'White House Down' Trailer: Channing Tatum's Secret Service Interview Goes Awry (Video)
by
Erik Hayden

The action thriller, directed by Roland Emmerich, arrives in theaters June 28.
Even though the White House looks like it gets obliterated, Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx aren't letting the bad guys win.
While the first trailer for Roland Emmerich's explosion-filled White House Down played like a somber action thriller, the latest look at the Sony summer tentpole boasts a lighter tone akin to the director's Independence Day.

VIDEO: The Many Ways Hollywood Destroys the White House
The film is the second Hollywood title to be released this year featuring the White House being invaded.
Just as Antoine Fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen (released March 22) enlisted Gerard Butler to protect the President in a time of crisis, the plot of White House Down revolves around Capitol Hill police officer John Cale (Tatum), who finds himself in dire circumstances.
The trailer shows Cale arriving at the White House for a job interview with the secret service and then subsequently pairing with President James Sawyer (Foxx) to resolve a hostage situation.
