'Kong: Skull Island' Casts Up-And-Comer for Pilot Role (Exclusive)

Up-and-comer Will Brittain has nabbed one of the last key roles in Legendary’s monster movie Kong: Skull Island.
He enrolls in a production that includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Thomas Mann and John Ortiz.

Plot details are being kept secret but the film is based on the premise of a team of explorers venturing on an island inhabited by monsters.
Brittain will join Hawkins and Mitchell as pilots.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing the feature that is currently shooting in Hawaii. The script was worked on by Max Borenstein, John Gatins, Derek Connolly and Dan Gilroy.
Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent.
Brittain broke through with the Sundance drama A Teacher and will next be seen in Everybody Wants Some, Richard Linklater’s baseball drama that is his follow-up to his Oscar-winning Boyhood. Paramount is releasing Wants Some April 16.
