Zane Holtz, Tammy Blanchard Wrap Supernatural Thriller 'The Awakening'
Zane Holtz and Tammy Blanchard are starring in The Awakening, a supernatural thriller that just wrapped shooting in Sullivan County, N.Y.
Adrian Grenier’s Reckless Productions, in association with NewAley Pictures, is behind the movie, which was written and directed by Jason Noto, making his feature directorial debut.

Holtz is starring as a soldier who returns from active duty in Syria after his wife is killed in a car crash. He is reunited with his 5-year-old son, who survived the crash but is left with post-traumatic stress disorder. The child begins to display supernatural knowledge of a young woman’s disappearance that creates tension between the father and a small-town local gangster.
Chance Kelly and Azhy Robertson also topline the thriller.
Reckless’ Robin Garvick, along with Erik Weigel and Michael Goodin, produced the movie. Grenier executive produced along with Becky Newhall.
Holtz was one of the stars of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and recently wrapped Hunter Killer opposite Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman.
Blanchard may best be known for her portrayal of the young Judy Garland in Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows. She recently appeared in Tallulah alongside Ellen Page and Allison Janney, which debuted in January at the Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by Netflix
