Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles will honor Rita Tuzon, executive vp and general counsel at Fox Networks Group, and Shark Tank star and Fubu founder Daymond John at its upcoming Big Bash gala, scheduled for Oct. 21.
The event, to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, will see Tuzon presented with the Sherry Lansing Award, while John will receive the Walt Disney Man of the Year Award.
Tuzon is being singled out for her work with the organization in helping create a workplace program that will see youth mentored by Fox employees. According to BBBSLA, the relationship is a “high-impact educational, vocational and cultural program that connects youth with opportunities to access and learn about the corporate world.” The exec currently serves as a “Big Sister” in the Women in Entertainment program, a program in partnership with The Hollywood Reporter.
