Authorities are investigating a dead body found on the beach in Malibu.
The body, believed to belong to an adult male, was discovered on the 20500 block of Pacific Coast Highway, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 1:24 p.m., with police responding along with the fire department. Homicide detectives are en route now, along with the coroner. The body is still at the scene.
The incident is occurring near Moonshadows Malibu, a restaurant frequented by members of the entertainment industry. The body was discovered a few miles east of Malibu’s elite Carbon Beach, which is home to DreamWorks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg, producer Joel Silver, entertainment mogul Haim Saban, New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Microsoft’s Paul Allen, music mogul David Geffen, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, and former Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt.
