Carrie Underwood is headed to the Sonoran Desert this spring as one of the honorees and performers at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night.
Fellow performers include Brooks and Dunn, David Foster, The Tenors, Sinbad and others. The event is scheduled for April 9 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
Another country superstar, Reba McEntire, is confirmed to host the festivities, marking the 11th consecutive year that she’s hosted the black-tie event. Also making another trip is David Foster, who returns to serve as musical director. Carson Palmer, Dr. Francis Yeoh, Yank Barry and the Argyros family will all be honored alongside Underwood.
The Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night Awards were established as a way to acknowledge leaders in the sports, entertainment and business communities who best represent the qualities associated with the Alis‘ fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Award recipients from years past include Halle Berry, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin, Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner, Magic Johnson, Jim Carrey, Forest Whitaker, Donald Trump, Clive Davis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Evander Holyfield.
