David Geffen’s Alleged Stalker Sentenced to Stay 200 Yards Away From Mogul

David Geffen‘s alleged former lover, Jamie Kuntz, who was charged with stalking the mogul, is required to stay 200 yards away from Geffen for the next 10 years, as part of a plea deal.

Kuntz pled no contest to misdemeanor stalking on Monday, his lawyer David Wohl and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. The felony stalking charge Kuntz faced was dismissed as were five misdemeanor charges, each for allegedly violating a restraining order Geffen obtained against him.

As part of his sentence, Kuntz has to undergo at least a year of psychiatric counseling, twice a week, and will remain on informal probation for two years, Wohl and a rep for the D.A.’s office confirmed. The restraining order specifies that Kuntz stay at least 200 yards away from Geffen and his houses for the next 10 years, a rep for the D.A.’s office confirmed.

Wohl said that Kuntz took the plea deal despite his legal advice that the case should go to trial if necessary, adding that Kuntz didn’t want to stay in custody for the two to six months it would take for a trial to start.

Wohl argued that Kuntz never threatened Geffen.

Kuntz, 21, was arrested in October for allegedly trespassing on Geffen’s property. Wohl told THR last year that Kuntz had a sexual relationship with the mogul, but a source close to Geffen’s investigators said there was no relationship of any kind between the two men.
