At the upcoming Brooklyn Book Festival, CAA will host a new in-conversation program, Let’s Discuss LIVE.
The lineup will include Reese Witherspoon in conversation with comedian and fellow Southerner Mamrie Hart to discuss inspiration behind Witherspoon’s first book, Whiskey in a Tea Cup.
Activist DeRay Mckesson will discuss his forthcoming book On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case for Hope and Mark Manson, the New York Times best-selling author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*CK: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life, will preview what he is working on next.
Additionally, Too All the Boys I Have Loved Before author Jenny Han will be in conversation with Jessica Knoll, author of Luckiest Girls Alive, to discuss adapting best-selling books into films.
“Let’s Discuss LIVE creates an opportunity for our dynamic authors to gather and explore the themes of their books, alongside readers who want to hear conversations as diverse as their own reading lists,” said Kate Childs of CAA’s books department in a statement Tuesday.
Let’s Discuss LIVE will be held Sept.16.
