Anyone curious how Floyd “Money” Mayweather may spend a portion of the windfall he earned after his epic fight with Conor McGregor now has an answer.
Mayweather just bought a $26 million, 15,000-square-foot mansion in the flats of Beverly Hills that was — perhaps fittingly — developed by super developer Niale Niami. If Mayweather does retire, as he announced before the fight with McGregor, his new home on North Crescent Drive may well be where the 40-year-old ushers in his golden years.
The French Modern home has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms and was renovated in 2015. The main house features a formal dining room with 10 sets of French doors, along with a paneled library and a family room featuring a cocktail bar with display wine cellar. The property also has guest house that includes a 20-seat screening room, gym, four-car garage, and a pool and pool house.
Some estimates say that the 40-year old Mayweather, after his ninth-round knockout of McGregor, walked away from that one bout with $300 million.
Niami is one of the city’s super spec developers and has previously developed homes for P. Diddy and the Winklevoss Twins. This week he announced he was cutting the listing price of his Opus home on Hillcrest from $100 million to $85 million. However, that new price will not include the Rolls Royce Phantom and Lamborghini Roadster that were previously included. Also the home’s staff for two years is not part of the newly reduced price, nor is the art collection that he valued at $3 million.
Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland was the listing agent.
