Hamilton is doing its part to include women in the sequel.
In honor of National Women’s History Month in March and International Women’s Day on Wednesday, castmembers of the hit Broadway musical donated their salaries from the evening performance to Dress for Success, a global nonprofit organization that provides professional attire for low-income women to help support their job search and interview process.
The audience of the Richard Rodgers Theatre were informed of the donation with a program insert, which was also tweeted by Javier Munoz.
“We thank all the women in this building for being here today and celebrating with us,” read the announcement.
