Leonardo DiCaprio took home his first Oscar on Sunday night for his starring role in The Revenant, and his fans have been rejoicing ever since.
This week, street art celebrating DiCaprio’s win went up in Los Angeles with the image appearing to be unsigned.
The mural consists of a black-and-white image of Leonardo DiCaprio holding a gold Oscar statutette with the words “Never Never Give Up” written in red stencil next to him. The artwork is on La Brea Avenue, south of Hollywood.
DiCaprio had been nominated for an Academy Award five times before his recent mention and resulting best actor nod. Many of his fans took to social media to share memes of his win.
“I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude for what happened tonight,” DiCaprio said in the Oscars press room following his acceptance speech in which he discussed climate change.
“Let us not take this planet for granted,” he said as he concluded his speech. “I do not take tonight for granted. Thank you so much.”
