As Los Angeles braces for an avalanche of new hotels opening over the next two years — five alone just on the Sunset Strip — other local properties are pushing forward with exclusive offerings to draw in new guests.
Starting Jan. 1, Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel — the 20-year-old Rodeo Drive fixture that maintains bragging rights as the only hotel on the iconic shopping street in the 90210 — converts to a guest-only experience with access limited to guests who book stays just as the hotel opens doors on its Luxe Club on Rodeo lounge and tasting room concept.
Available for guests only, the new Luxe Club on Rodeo offers a members-only private-club feeling, complete with a tasting room and bar. “Hotel guests will have the ability to unwind and mingle in this new, intimate social setting while enjoying our signature food pairings, tastings and beverages,” Luxe Hotels founder and chair Efrem Harkham said in a statement.
The tasting room is open daily, offering continental breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., an afternoon tasting menu from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., and an evening taste from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The lounge bar offers wine, beer, soft drinks and cocktails from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and a 24-hour beverage center, which offers coffee, tea and water.
Luxe Hotels executive chef Olivier Rousselle crafted the tasting room menu with a focus on farm-fresh, sustainable ingredients. The Luxe Club on Rodeo experience is available to guests upon booking their room with an inclusive fee of $35 plus tax, per adult, per night.
