Oprah Winfrey is ready to breathe in the fresh mountain air.
The media mogul recently purchased a home in Telluride, Colo., for just under $14 million, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Winfrey will live in the house to supervise building of a new property (which is already underway) on her nearby 60-acre parcel of land bought in May 2014.
She also owns an $85 million, 23,000-square-foot Montecito, Calif., estate situated on 42 acres.
The contemporary, fully furnished Telluride home is in slope-side Mountain Village and was sold by retired tech executive Bob Wall, according to The Wall Street Journal, which reported that the residence also has a personal funicular that transports skiers directly to the snowy slopes.
Winfrey’s new 8,700-square-foot mountain staycation on 3.23 acres boasts five bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a mud room, sauna, gym, glass-and-steel bridge and 45-foot-long walkway that leads homeowners to a 35-foot towering observation deck, complete with a fire pit.
For the wine enthusiast who enjoys a glass of red at the end of the evening, there is a 56-foot-long wine cellar which, according to Zillow, “rides on old mine rails in a chilled, humidified room.”
Winfrey recently signed with Flatiron Books for her memoir The Life You Want, which is set to be published in January 2017.
