Hermosa Beach police are investigating a sexual misconduct allegation made by actress Sarah Scott against actor Kip Pardue, officials confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.
Scott filed the report in late August, police said.
The True Blood actress claims the actor put her hand on his groin in May while they waited to film a sex scene for the independent TV pilot, Mogulettes, Scott recently told the Los Angeles Times.
After they filmed the scene, the actress says Pardue — who also appears on the Hulu drama The Runaways — called her into his dressing room and allegedly started masturbating in front of her, she told the newspaper.
“I literally froze,” said Scott. “I said, ‘What are you doing?’”
“This isn’t a #MeToo thing,” he allegedly responded, according to Scott. “I’m not your employer. It’s not like I can fire you.”
Pardue responded to the allegations through a rep in a statement to the Times in which the actor apologized for putting Scott’s hand on his groin but claimed her other allegations are untrue. “I clearly misread the situation during a sex scene on set and have apologized to Sarah,” the statement reads. “I never intended to offend her in any way and deeply regret my actions and have learned from my behavior.”
The police investigation is ongoing. No additional information was available.
