Zuckerberg Media CEO Randi Zuckerberg alleged that she was sexually harassed by a passenger seated next to her on an Alaska Airlines flight on Wednesday.
Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, tweeted that she felt “disgusted and degraded” after the passenger seated next to her in a first-class flight from Los Angeles to Mazatlan “made repeated lewd remarks.” In a letter attached to her tweet, addressed to Alaska Airlines execs including CEO Brad Tilden, she recounted the incident in more detail saying that the man talked about “touching himself, kept asking me if I fantasized about the female business colleague I was traveling with, rated and commented on the women’s bodies boarding the aircraft as they walked by us, and many more equally horrifying and offensive remarks.”

Zuckerberg complained about the man to the flight attendants but was told he was a frequent flier, downplaying his behavior, kept giving him drinks and told her not to take the harassment “personally.” She was offered a change of seat but she declined as she felt she shouldn’t be the one to move.
“I’m even more furious with Alaska Airlines for knowingly and willingly providing this man with a platform to harass women. For knowing this behavior and being more concerned with taking his money than for the safety and security of the other passengers around him,” she added.
After her tweet had racked up thousands of retweets and likes, Zuckerberg tweeted an update, revealing that she had spoken to two Alaska Airlines execs on the phone. The execs told her they had started an investigation into the incident and that they had suspended the passenger’s frequent flier privileges.
Feeling disgusted & degraded after an @AlaskaAir flight where the passenger next to me made repeated lewd sexual remarks. The flight attendants told me he was a frequent flier, brushed off his behavior & kept giving him drinks. I guess his $ means more than our safety? My letter: pic.twitter.com/xOkDpb0dYU

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with two executives from @AlaskaAir who informed me that they are conducting an investigation and have temporarily suspended this passenger’s travel privileges. Thank you for taking this seriously.
