Rob Schneider on Friday took to Twitter to defend Louis C.K. and Kevin Hart.
First addressing the Hart-Oscars scandal, Schneider tweeted “I support @TheEllenShow supporting @KevinHart4real. Comics are the ones who are supposed to say the horrible things we all think but don’t.”
Hart dropped by DeGeneres’ show for a segment that will air Friday. In that segment, DeGeneres told Hart she contacted the Academy and was informed that it would still have Hart host after he backed out following resurfaced homophobic tweets. Hart said he is considering it.
Degeneres has faced major backlash for the segment.
Next, Schneider went to the mat for C.K., who for a time all but disappeared after he was accused of sexual misconduct. Recently, the comic has been dipping his toe back into the waters of stand-up. But a resurfaced video of him using the N-word and a recently made recording of him attacking the survivors of the Parkland high school massacre, likely sent his career into a deeper nosedive.
“FREE LOUIE CK!! JOKES ARE WORDS YOU F#CKING MORON C#NTS!!” Schneider explained via Twitter.
He seemingly concluded his comments by tweeting, “‘Political correctness is just fascism disguised as manners.’ George Carlin.”
Fellow actor and comic Jim Carrey responded to C.K.’s shots at the shooting victims with one of his works of art showing a tiny C.K. at a mic with a towering former student and activist Emma Gonzalez staring him down.
