Writer-director Shana Feste and her husband, producer Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, have just put their Spanish-style house in Los Feliz on the market with an asking price of $1.899 million.
Located north of Los Feliz Boulevard and just outside Griffith Park, the red-tile-roofed residence was built in 1935 and contains three bedrooms and four full baths within its 2,347 square feet.
A graduate of AFI, Feste’s credits include Country Strong and last year’s Endless Love remake, while former CAA agent Kavanaugh-Jones is president and founder of Automatik, the production company behind such blockbuster horror flicks as Sinister and Insidious.
The couple purchased the home in 2013, and commissioned Emily Henderson, the much-buzzed-about interior designer, blogger and star of HGTV’s Secrets From a Stylist, to handle its remodel. Along with original character details such as hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, sculpted archways, French windows, wrought-ironwork and two fireplaces, the property boasts an updated kitchen, revamped baths, a pergola-covered dining patio, a heated swimming pool, and a separate work studio that was originally the garage. The home’s transformation can be seen in Henderson’s upcoming book, Styled, due out in October 2015.
Karen Lower of Coldwell Banker has the listing.
