The luxe Los Angeles country club where Caitlyn Jenner has been a longtime member insists there is no tension between her and the institution, which features male-only eating facilities that would presumably now bar Jenner as a woman.
In a statement sent to The Hollywood Reporter, a rep for the country club said, “Reporting of discord between Ms. Jenner and this club is entirely false. Bruce Jenner has and continues to be a valued and long term member at the Club.”
Various news outlets reported Tuesday that Jenner’s transition would create problems for her at the partially segregated social spaces.

“Sherwood Country Club was very disappointed and surprised to learn of various news reports dated June 2, 2015,” the club’s statement continues.
“The Club was never contacted and had no input into stories about Caitlyn Jenner, and it shows … Sherwood Country Club cherishes its members, and their privacy, and will not comment on anything regarding its members’ private use and enjoyment of the Club, including Caitlyn Jenner’s future use of the Club.”
“Sherwood is very proud of the wonderful facilities it offers both its male and female members and their guests … There will be no further comment from the Club.”
According to Golf.com, the former Olympic gold medalist, who picked up golf at age 50, has an impressive 5.3 handicap at the country club.
