The new Late Show host has spent 23 hours mocking himself, calling the cover “hilarious” and saying he thinks the full name of the magazine is “The Ravages of Time.” He even suggested using the cover as a “scary drifter mask” for a Halloween costume.

“This week in @TIME, my comedy formula: joyless gaze + bloodless lips + dead eyes =laughs!” he wrote on Friday, continuing the conversation.
Colbert was promoting The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in his cover story. He revealed his show will have a series called “Who Am Me,” which will teach viewers about the real Stephen Colbert.
“We’ve got a series of field pieces, packages that are ways for me to try to figure out who [the real Stephen Colbert] is, as if I don’t know who I am,” Colbert told Time. “The unexamined life can be extremely enjoyable, and who knows if I do know who I am? We’re going to see whether I do.”
