A man was taken into custody Sunday after trying to break into a residence at the 1200 block of Angelo Drive in Los Angeles, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call after 6:30 a.m. involving a “hot prowler” incident, Nuria Vanegas, public information officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, tells The Hollywood Reporter.
The “hot prowler” break-in designation indicates that someone was home at the time police arrived, though Vanegas did not specify if it was a resident.

The suspect, Joshua Corbett, was booked for residential burglary. He is being held on $150,000 bail.
The residence in the incident belongs to actress Sandra Bullock, police sources told NBC News’ Andrew Blankstein.
A rep for the Gravity actress has not yet responded to THR‘s request for comment, and the LAPD could not confirm the owner of the residence.
On Tuesday, prosecutors filed felony burglary and stalking charges against Corbett. The 39-year-old also was charged with felony possession of a machine gun, although prosecutors say he did not have the gun with him while on the property.

Police say he jumped the fence surrounding Bullock’s property early Sunday morning and broke into her house. He was in her house for more than an hour while the actress slept, according to CNN.
CNN also confirmed through FAA records that Corbett has a private pilot’s license.
Corbett was arraigned Tuesday in a Los Angeles courtroom, where he pleaded not guilty. Superior Court Judge Renee Korn set Corbett’s bail at $185,000 and ordered him to stay 200 yards away from the actress.
His attorney, Stephen Sitkoff, declined to comment after the hearing.
If convicted, Corbett faces up to seven years and four months in prison.
