UTA has signed comedian John Crist in all areas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Crist is a Christian, but that doesn’t mean his niche is squeaky-clean, G-rated humor that panders to the faith-based crowd. Rather, the pastor’s kid is known for his video sketches that skewer church culture, including the spot-on parody Church Hunters (4.8 million combined social media views for Episode 1), Millennial International (22 million views), Lady Who Has a Bible Verse for Every Situation (36 million views) and Church Parking Lot Road Rage (24 million views).
After appearing on Louie Anderson’s episode of Gotham Comedy Live, which aired on AXS TV in 2014, Crist last fall sold out his first headlining tour, Captive Thoughts, which reached more than 25,000 people in 20 East Coast cities. On Monday, he is set to embark on his 61-show nationwide Human Being tour, which will include an Oct. 14 stop at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Crist continues to be repped by Round Table Management.
