Anton Zaslavski — better known to millions of electronic music fans as Zedd — has officially offloaded his contemporary Benedict Canyon residence for nearly $18.4 million, or roughly $2.4 million more than the Russian-German DJ/record producer paid for the palatial spec mansion in the mountains high above Beverly Hills five years ago, back in early 2018.
Records confirm the buyer is award-winning writer/producer/director Kenya Barris, known for Black-ish, Girls Trip, Grown-ish and the recently released Netflix film You People. After languishing on the market since summer 2021 — initially with a hefty $26.5 million ask — the listing price was reduced several times, and the services of different real estate brokerages were engaged, before the house finally sold to Barris at a substantial discount.

Zedd still owns a $15 million mansion he bought from Joe Jonas in 2020. As for Barris, his extensive real estate portfolio includes homes in Encino, Studio City and Toluca Lake. Late last year, he sold a modern mansion in Encino for $8.2 million.
The listing was held by David Kramer of Hilton & Hyland; Pam Lumpkin of Compass repped the buyer.
