See Brad Pitt Play Barista as Italian Coffee Machine Maker De’Longhi’s New A-List Ambassador

Brad Pitt has a new gig. On top of being a brand ambassador for luxury suits and watches, the Oscar-winning actor stars in Italian coffee machine brand De’Longhi’s international campaign for its newest espresso maker, the Dinamica Plus.

Directed by Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash), the cinematic film offers a peek into a day in the life of the 57-year-old star, who begins his morning with a sunrise motorcycle ride along Pacific Coast Highway (presumably on the Ducati Monster 696 that he’s been known to ride) to his favorite cafe to pick up a bag of coffee beans, followed by pit stops at his local hog shop and a gas station. The beans manage to hang on for dear life until they arrive safely at Pitt’s sun-filled Los Angeles manse, where they’re brewed up into a cappuccino on De’Longhi’s automatic espresso machine.

Director Chazelle and Pitt weren’t the only golden statue-toting talents on the film; cinematographer Linus Sandgren and composer Justin Hurwitz (both Academy Award winners and regular Chazelle collaborators) also worked on the campaign, while photographer Lachlan Bailey shot the images.

As for the campaign’s other star? The Dinamica Plus is De’Longhi’s latest espresso machine, a fully automatic coffee maker that’ll set you back a cool $1,500 (though we spotted it on Amazon for $1,400). The smart java station is equipped with a built-in burr grinder with 13 settings, allowing you to make 16 custom or one-touch drinks (including espressos, cappuccinos, flat whites, iced coffee and more) with one machine.

De’Longhi’s Coffee Link app also lets you control the device with your smartphone and create and save up to three personalized recipes. The luxe coffee maker works with dairy and alternative milks, and comes with accessories such a carbon active filter, measuring scoop, cleaning brush, water descaler, removable water spout, a milk jug and more.
