The Best Sale Finds at Target’s Deal Days, From Holiday Gifts and Tech to Home Essentials

Target is getting a head start on Black Friday with its own three-day shopping event to rival Amazon Prime Early Access, the e-commerce giant’s kick-off to the holiday shopping season. The Minneapolis-based mass retailer’s second Deal Days will run from Oct. 6-8, three days earlier than Amazon’s two-day event.

This week’s savings event marks the first time that Target has hosted two Deal Days within a year, and will likely be among many other Prime Day in October alternative sales geared towards attracting discount-seeking shoppers away from Amazon. Ahead, keep reading for everything you need to know about Target’s fall sale, including the best deals and how to save the most during the three-day blowout.

When Is Target Deal Days October 2022?

Target Deal Days starts on Thursday, Oct. 6 and ends Saturday, Oct. 8, and takes place in stores, online at Target.com and on the retailer’s app. The company says it will feature “over half a million holiday gifting deals across the latest toys, electronics and video games, big savings in beauty, food and beverage and everyday essentials, and new offerings from top national and only-at-Target brands.”

Target’s Deal Days will also kick off the company’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee, which runs from Oct. 6 to Dec. 24 and will match select competitors’ pricing within 14 days of purchase. The company is also extending its return window for electronics and entertainment through Jan. 24, 2023.

How to Shop Target Deal Days 2022

Unlike Amazon Prime Day Early Access, you don’t need a membership to shop the Target Deal Days sale. That means it’s not required to have a Target RedCard debit or credit card in order to shop the three-day event, although cardholders do get the extra five percent discount and members of Target’s free Circle loyalty program enjoy additional perks.

The Best Deals to Shop at Target Deal Days 2022

Target Deal Days will include up to $150 off select Apple products; up to 50 percent off tech and select toys from Disney, Barbie, CoComelon and L.O.L.Suprise!; up to 40 percent off kitchen appliances, cookware, floorcare, bedding and select loungewear and sleepwear; $350 off Westinghouse’s 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Roku smart TV; $50 off the Xbox Series S console plus a free Xbox controller with purchase; 25 percent of select vitamins and nutrition; and more. You can also expect to save on products from Apple, Beats and Cuisinart, among other top brands.

There will also be deals on products on the retailer’s in-house brands, including clothing and accessories from A New Day, groceries from Good & Gather, home furnishings and decor from Threshold and tech accessories from Heyday, to name a few.

Target Deal Days in October won’t include savings on the upcoming fall designer collections, which launch Oct. 9.

Target has yet to release further details, but we expect the sale will include similar deals to its July event, which featured up to $120 off select Apple products (including Watch Series 7, AirPods and iPads), up to half off clothing and electronics, up to 60 percent off video games, up to 40 percent off select furniture and decor, up to 35 percent off TVs and home entertainment electronics, 20 percent off Heyday products, select Nintendo video games for $40, up to 50 percent off select toys and games, up to 40 percent off Lego toys, up to 30 percent off Barbie toys and more.

Shoppers can get a $15 Target gift card when they spend $50 on food and beverage with same-day services, meaning you can stock up on groceries online and save when you pick up your order in-store or via Drive Up or get your purchase delivered through Shipt (which does have an additional fee).
