Swedish actress Alicia Vikander has had quite the year, bursting onto the scene with much talked-about roles in the sci-fi thriller Ex Machina and — on the opposite side of the genre spectrum — The Danish Girl, a period film in which she appears opposite Eddie Redmayne in a story about transgender pioneer Lili Elbe.
In addition to all that, she’s been killing it on the red carpets, too. The Louis Vuitton ambassador sparkled and shone her way through awards season, topping off her run with another glittering gown from the French fashion house as she stepped out at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The actress is nominated for best supporting actress for her role in The Danish Girl — the same role that earned her a SAG Award earlier this year. Vikander is up against Rachel McAdams, Rooney Mara, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kate Winslet in the category.
The 88th Academy Awards — hosted by Chris Rock — airs live Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
