It’s hard to visualize Anna Wintour fan-girling over anyone (or anything, for that matter), but we’d like to imagine that if she did, it would be over Hillary Clinton.
The Vogue editor-in-chief and the presidential nominee go way back, as Wintour has hosted several fundraisers for Clinton over the years — generally extravagant soirees with extravagant ticket prices to boot.
But Wintour’s latest hosting gig on Clinton’s behalf has a bit more of an unconventional tone. Wintour and Huma Abedin, vice chairwoman of Clinton’s campaign, are hosting a fashion show fundraiser and rooftop party featuring special guest Chelsea Clinton.
The whole shebang is going down at Spring Studios in New York City on Sept. 6, two days before New York Fashion Week officially kicks off. Several designers who previously declared their allegiance to Clinton by designing tees for her Made for History project — including Prabal Gurung, Joseph Altuzarra, Marc Jacobs, Tanya Taylor, Public School’s Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, Diane von Furstenberg and more — will contribute designs for the show.
Tickets range in price from $100 for general admission to $25,000 for the “Hillsquad Package,” which includes tickets for five guests, a VIP reception, front-row seats and plenty of Made for History merch.
Details regarding what pieces designers will be showing at the event have yet to be disclosed, but fingers crossed for a runway filled with pantsuits.
