It’s been nearly a year since Anne Hathaway and her husband, producer Adam Shulman, welcomed their baby boy, yet the couple have stayed away from posting any images of him on social media. That is, until Thursday, when the actress posted an Instagram of her 11-month-old son, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, watching an iPad screen.
“JRS watching Mommy give her speech at the UN yesterday,” she captioned. The post comes a day after International Women’s Day, when Hathaway, a global goodwill ambassador for UN Women, delivered a speech at the United Nations about the importance of paid parental leave.
“I remember the indescribable — and as I understand it universal — experience of holding my week-old son and feeling my priorities change on a cellular level,” recalled Hathaway after giving birth to her first child. “Like so many parents, I wondered how I was going to balance my work with my new role as a parent.”

She continued: “The deeper into the issue of paid parental leave I go, the clearer I see the connection between persisting barriers to women’s full equality and empowerment, and the need to redefine and in some cases, destigmatize men’s role as caregivers. Hathaway, who is starring in Ocean’s 8 with Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Rihanna and more A-listers, also wore a red Adeam dress by Hanako Maeda to show solidarity with the Women’s Strike.
