Aubrey Plaza revealed in an Instagram post on Friday that she has married her longtime partner, Life After Beth director Jeff Baena.
In a caption that appeared alongside a photo of the couple, the actor, 36 referred to Baena, 43, as her “darling husband.” Plaza’s publicist confirmed the marriage The Hollywood Reporter.
In reference to his latest project Spin Me Round, in which she appears, Plaza wrote: “So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to italia to cause some more trouble excited to be reunited with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!) and @theofficialsuperstar @sordociego @lauren_weedman and so many more fun people in this. Preparati!!”
There was no further information as to when the marriage occurred. The pair had dated for approximately ten years.
Co-written by and starring Alison Brie, Spin Me Round follows a restaurant manager who wins an all-expenses trip to Italy, with the chance to meet the company’s wealthy owner. Fred Armisen, Ego Nwodim and Alessandro Nivola also star.
Baena’s additional credits as a director include 2016 film Joshy, which starred Thomas Middleditch; The Little Hours with Brie and Dave Franco; and Horse Girl, with Molly Shannon and Brie. Baena also wrote I Heart Huckabees in 2004 alongside David O. Russell.
Plaza and Baena have worked together multiple times, most recently on Showtime’s anthology series Cinema Toast. Plaza starred as Beth in Baena’s 2014 directorial debut Life After Beth, alongside John C. Reilly and Dane DeHaan.
