“Something sentimental, I think,” says Holly Golightly in the library scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, requesting an autograph from Paul (George Peppard) on a copy of his book. Star Audrey Hepburn underlined the word “sentimental” in her annotated script, one of hundreds of her belongings to be offered at Christie’s in London this fall. An online auction goes from Sept. 19 to Oct. 3.

Items including a Givenchy dress she wore to promote 1966’s Two for the Road (estimated at up to $20,000) will be auctioned live Sept. 27. Hepburn’s relationship with designer Hubert de Givenchy can be traced back to 1953, when the actress flew to Paris to shop for the costumes her character would wear in the film Sabrina. Following their collaboration, the actress became a muse for the then 26-year-old designer, inspiring a new Hollywood aesthetic and launching the Givenchy label into a new tier of luxury brands. Givenchy went on to create costumes for Hepburn’s later films, including Love in the Afternoon, Funny Face and Breakfast at Tiffany‘s.
Hepburn style signatures including a Burberry trench coat, a collection of ballet flats (the actress was a ballerina in her childhood in Brussels), are also among the items up for auction, as are photos, including a portrait for Vanity Fair signed by the legendary Steven Meisel, a cigarette lighter reading “For My Fair Lady” on the cap and “Gene Allen, December 1963” on the base in honor of the My Fair Lady director, as well as other items that had previously been in the possession of Hepburn’s family.
