The Dress: An asymmetrical gold lamé draped minidress from the spring 2017 Saint Laurent collection, which is creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s first collection since taking the reins from Hedi Slimane last year.
The Wearer: Bella Heathcote, who is styled by THR Power Stylist Penny Lovell.
The Event: The Los Angeles premiere of Fifty Shades Darker, where the actress was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, as well as Rita Ora, who is featured on the film’s soundtrack.
Why It Matters: At his first show for Saint Laurent last September in Paris, Vaccarello rather symbolically hoisted a massive “YSL” logo — lit up in red, white and blue — by a crane in front of what’s soon to be the new Saint Laurent headquarters, a metaphor for the fashion house’s internal reconstruction. And though his debut collection was met with lackluster reviews, Heathcote, wearing head-to-toe spring 2017, looked fabulous as she stepped out on Thursday night. The 29-year-old actress paired the dress with the same black tassel earrings worn on the runway, but opted for a pair of patent Mary Jane pumps instead of black boots.
Where to Buy: The $2,990 dress is currently available at Nordstrom and Luisa Via Roma and can be preordered at Neiman Marcus. The Loulou tassel earrings can be found on Saint Laurent‘s website for $595, and the patent-leather pumps also can be found on the site for $895.
