Queen Bey slays again.
For Halloween, Beyonce paid tribute to Toni Braxton by recreating the famed cover of the R&B singer’s 1993 self-titled debut album.
Beyonce took to Instagram to unveil her version of the album cover photo, referring to herself as “Phoni Braxton” and captioning the picture with: “Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends.”
She continued by honoring Braxton’s vocal talents and thanking her for her music, “Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range and your God-give talent is treasured,” continued the singer, “Loving you always.”
A seven-time Grammy-winner, Toni Braxton was considered one of the top R&B singers of the 90s, and her debut album featured top hits, “Breathe Again” and “Another Sad Love Song.”
In response to Beyonce’s homage, Braxton tweeted a split image of the two stars saying, “Phoni Braxton? NEVER!!!! How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis!”
