In the late ’50s, Eden Roc was the most glamorous destination on Miami Beach, beckoning the Old Hollywood set, including Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Katharine Hepburn. Fast forward to today, where the famed resort has just undergone a $220 million facelift to reveal an ultra-luxurious destination with the first-ever ELLE spa. Famous faces along with Miami socialites stopped by for a party on the grounds Thursday evening, hosted by Elle magazine.
Joy Bryant and Jaime King (in an ivory Calvin Klein dress with Vhernier jewels) mingled with guests on the outdoor lawn while up-and-coming rapper Rye Rye performed and DJ Daisy O’Dell played tracks from the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga. Meanwhile, Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa, Friday Night Lights‘ Aimee Teegarden and Community‘s Gillian Jacobs drank Moet Ice (the latest champagne meant to be served on the rocks) and noshed on bite-size mahi mahi tacos, lamb kebabs and chocolate lollipops.
As guests entered through the 22,000-square foot spa, interior designer and party planner extraordinaire Colin Cowie remarked at how magnificent the interior is. “And that is a compliment,” said David Siguaw, director of sales and marketing for Eden Roc.
The spa, which is Elle‘s first joint venture of the kind, features signature treatments using Red Flower, Tammy Fender and Decleor natural skincare products and even boasts two exclusive Essie nail polishes: Eden, a bubblegum pink, and Roc, a vibrant orange (Teegarden picked the Roc shade for her mani). Plan on booking a body scrub, massage, facial or mani/pedi the next time you jet to Miami Beach.
