Partners in Design highlights the latest design collaborations with a Hollywood bent, from brands teaming up with stars to new pairings between industry-loved brands and film- or TV-focused product lines.
Chloë Sevigny x Régime des Fleurs
The fragrance company Régime des Fleurs has developed a new scent with Chloë Sevigny called Little Flower. Sevigny’s elegant rose-based perfume — with black tea, bleeding heart, blackcurrant bud, peony, palo santo incense, pomelo and honeysuckle — is available online ($205) and at Dover Street Market in L.A., New York and London for a month before expanding to Paris.
“I’ve worn rose perfumes throughout the years but was always searching for something a little different,” Sevigny tells THR. “It was an opportunity to do something creative with two people that I respect and admire — to support a small, independent brand — and to get to create the perfect perfume for me.”
Lily Aldridge x Inter Parfums
Collaborating with IMG Models and Lily Aldridge, Inter Parfums is releasing a four-piece fragrance line based on some of the model’s favorite places: Nashville, Palm Springs and the California beach. Two years in the making, Aldridge’s Haven scent has notes of lychee and mandarin. Each part of the packaging is responsibly sourced with minimal waste, including a wood cap from a source that replants five trees for every one cut, recycled paper packaging that doubles as the shipping box, and bio-degradable paper with seeds inside that buyers can soak in water and plant to grow wildflowers ($50).
Jason Bolden/Adair Curtis x Flaneur
Flaneur bedding is working with JSN Studio, run by power couple interior designer Adair Curtis and Hollywood fashion stylist Jason Bolden (whose clients include Ava DuVernay and Yara Shahidi) on a new desert-hued bedding capsule collection, Dune, that launches Sept. 8 on hiflaneur.com. Styles come in a dusty desert pink, soft sand and olive green.
“We draw a lot of inspiration from our travels and this collection was really inspired by the desaturated color palette of hues found in the desert,” Curtis said in a statement.
Hilary Duff x Nudestix
Hilary Duff, fresh off the news of her Lizzie McGuire reboot at Apple, worked with Nudestix on a makeup bundle in reusable tins and a holographic makeup bag that she designed. Available Sept. 10, the actress’ products include a Nudies Matte All-Over blush, Nudies Glow All-Over highlighter, Magnetic Luminous eye pencils and a Gel Color Lip + Cheek balm ($75).
Rodarte x Cole Haan
The Mulleavy sisters, behind the L.A.-based Rodarte fashion label, are reimagining Cole Haan’s shoes through their Grand Ambition collection. Available Sept. 9, the pumps, booties and sneakers come in red, pink, white and black hues with leather and lace details ($170-$398). The footwear, with a Valentine’s Day vibe, follows Rodarte’s spring 2020 look book that starred Gabrielle Union-Wade, Kirsten Dunst, Lili Reinhart, January Jones and Kiernan Shipka. Another collection with Cole Haan will bow in November.
Kate Spade x Keds
The footwear brand Keds has teamed with Kate Spade on a new line. The 23-piece Kate Spade New York collaboration features sneakers and mules in leopard prints and with glittery finishes in black, mauve and teal ($85-$120).
