Since the Oscar nominee announcement on the morning of Jan. 24, stylists’ phones have been buzzing with requests for designers, brands, etc etc, to dress one or more of these ten women. It is absolutely no accident that Jessica Chastain was front and center that day at the Armani Prive’ show in Paris. THR has compiled a list of the Hollywood stylists who are dressing this year’s nominees for the big night:
Viola Davis: Davis has been styled by Elizabeth Stewart (The Wall Group) for a number of years. Stewart was a fashion editor for the New York Times Magazine for years, and now works with many celebs, like Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Amanda Seyfried (and many others), as well as working on fashion print campaigns and styling many a celebrity shoot for magazines like Vanity Fair.

Glenn Close: Close works with stylist Chuck Thomas in New York; he formerly worked for Giorgio Armani in the U.S.
Michelle Williams: Last awards season, Williams worked with a British stylist through some of awards season, then Elizabeth Stewart put her in her Chanel Couture for Oscars 2011. This season, her stylist is Kate Young in New York (The Magnet Agency), who is a former Vogue editor and was responsible for Natalie Portman’s creative wardrobe last year when the Oscar winner was pregnant. Young has also worked with Rachel Weisz, Jennifer Connolly, and works with major photographers doing shoots, and designers on their runway shows.

Rooney Mara: Mara is interacting with young stylist Ryan Hastings, a former fashion editor, who also works with Mia Wasakowska and Robert Pattinson. Hastings has no agent, and prefers to stay below the radar. (We wonder how long that will last.)
Berenice Bejo: the French actress is not working with a stylist and prefers to make her own wardrobe choices, although she does have a longstanding relationship with the team at Elie Saab in Paris. Requests for her should be made to The Weinstein Company.
Jessica Chastain: Chastain has also been working with stylist Elizabeth Stewart, and has been, throughout the season.
Octavia Spencer: Spencer is a client of sister stylists Wendi and Nicole Ferreira (The Wall Group), who are based in Venice, and also work with Anne Heche and many other stars.
Melissa McCarthy: McCarthy is being helped out with her awards looks by Simon Tuke, who was the costume designer on Everybody Loves Raymond, and now costume design’s McCarthy’s show Mike & Molly.
Janet McTeer: the British actress is handling her own wardrobe, but her PR is Wendy Morris in New York.
