The Dress: A knee-length, body-hugging cable knit creation from British designer Jenny Packham’s fall 2013 collection.
The Wearer: Kate Hudson.
The Event: The April 22 Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Hudson’s new film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
The Reason We Dig: A good knit is hard to find, especially in April. But Hudson perfectly pulled off the elusive spring knit in Packham’s striking, versatile number, which won’t technically hit stores until late summer. Perfect for spring, Hudson’s choice will work equally as well paired with heavier accessories when the cooler months come, not to mention be a killer winter white. For now, it’s light and romantic enough for an April evening in Manhattan. And lends some polish to typically bohemian knitwear.
