Zinque, a new wine and coffee bistro inspired by the zinc-topped bars found all over France, should debut next week just a croissant’s toss from Gjelina, the celeb-centric spot known for its Taylor Lautner and Robert Downey Jr. sightings.

The space, located at the southeast corner of Abbot Kinney and Venice boulevards, will be open for breakfast at 6 in the morning. Last call for the small-production pours of mostly French bottles will be 2 a.m..
“We’re an all-day kind of place,” says proprietor Emmanuel Dossetti. “You can come in for coffee before work and read the paper, then be back again late in the evening with friends over a glass of wine. “People say, in France, ‘Let’s go to the zinc.’ It’s just a regular thing to do. That’s what we want here too.”

As for authenticity, Dossetti boasts of securing Poilane — the acclaimed Parisian bakery from the 6th Arrondissement — as the bread supplier for his tartines.
“I’m having it sent over,” he says, “three times a week.”
