Gwen Stefani doesn’t do things in a small way — even when they’re for kids.
She had a little party and runway show on Saturday in Hollywood for her Harajuku Mini collection for Target, which was launched in stores the next day.
Of course, it’s fashion-forward and totally cool — this is not the Material Girl look or any 1980s relics. There are 80 pieces in the collection: plaid print jumpers, fuzzy hoodies, onesies for infants that are in the style of tuxedos (start that black-tie thing early), faux leather jackets, punk pants and headbands. It ranges from $3.99 to $29.99.
“I’ve always been inspired by the cool children’s clothing in Japan, but it was always so hard for me to find it here,” Stefani saod. “That’s why I am so excited to partner with Target because I’m able to create something inspired by that look but that’s easy to find and affordable. Now all the moms can get their hands on it!”
And just in time for the holidays, of course. There will also be a second Harajuki Mini for Target collection in Target starting Dec. 25.
Actresses Michelle Monaghan, Selma Blair and Maya Rudolph and stylists Jen Rade, Andrea Lieberman (who designs ALC) and Arianne Phillips all came by the watch the tots totter down a small runway. Famed hairdresses Danilo, who always does Stefanie’s hair, did the kid models’ hair, and Charlotte Willer did their makeup.
We can’t wait to see lots of little lambs everywhere done up in these clothes. We have a feeling we’ll see a lot of them in Hollywood.
