On Halloween night, you can get into costume, take in all the wild ensembles around you, be spotted as the 10th Maleficent around town — or you can check out award-winning costumes, instead.
The Hollywood Costume Exhibit — which opened in September and is currently being displayed at the Academy Museum on Fairfax Ave. and Wilshire Blvd. — will be hosting VIP tours on Oct 31. The exhibit’s curator and costume designer, Deborah Nadoolman Landis, and Chrisi Karvonides will lead the special walk-through tours at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the exhibition staying opened until 9 that evening — just in case trick-or-treating ends late.
Academy members can purchase tickets for $10 each by phone (310-247-3000, ext. 1185) or email (HollywoodCostume@Oscars.org).
And if this isn’t scary enough for you, go home and watch an episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show, the perfect Halloween night entertainment.
