The first step on the path to style stardom? A verified Instagram account, of course.
Michael Phelps’ son, Boomer, may be just 3 months old, but he’s already garnered more than 481K followers on Instagram, thanks to his patriotic toddler-wear and those squishy, squeezable cheeks.
While dad became the international poster child for cupping therapy and Arena swim parkas, the littler Phelps is essentially a not-yet-walking ad for Baby Gap. He’s been sporting red-white-and-blue everything from the retailer, from stars-and-stripes swim trunks to a gold medal jumper. And in doing so, Boomer has become the unofficial face of patriotic children’s wear for the ailing retailer, and perhaps the latest celebrity spawn turned fashion It-child. (His mother is Phelps’ fiancee Nicole Johnson.)

Other stylish pieces spotted on the tot include Freshly Picked gold moccasin slippers ($60), Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low top sneakers ($30) and Em’s 4 Bubs protective earmuffs ($30) to safeguard his infant ears from the roars inside Rio’s Olympic Aquatics Stadium, where he watched his pop rack up the 23rd and final gold medal of his decorated career.
It’s not clear whether Boomer is officially sponsored by any brand, but if he were, he might just be the youngest Olympic-goer ever to score an endorsement deal. Breaking records, just like his dad.
