“Millie loves the process of getting ready,” says celebrity hair stylist Jenny Cho of Stranger Things starlet Millie Bobby Brown. “And it’s important to me to listen to what my clients want to feel and look like.”
And on Sunday night, Cho did just that, collaborating with the Emmy-nominated Brown on a smooth, parted look inspired by Brown’s polka-dot Rodarte dress.
“I was immediately attracted to a hair style that was sleek, clean and fresh to tie in with the makeup and the dress,” says Cho, who incorporated hair accessories in the back of the hair style to add a dash of whimsy to the look.

“Start with your hair wet to create a sleek shiny look,” advises Cho, who applied a quarter-size amount of leave-in conditioner (she recommends Suave Professionals Honey Infusion 10-in-1 Leave-in Conditioning Cream) to the hair before side-parting it and creating a low ponytail and setting in place with Suave Professionals Hair Spray. After drying hair with a diffuser (Cho recommends wrapping the pony in a handkerchief for “firm smoothness”), the stylist then applied a keratin-infused serum to the front, building sleekness and shine. The low pony was back-combed, and put into place using bobby pins and Lelet gold-flower hair pins for sparkling, finishing effect.
“Millie is so young and not defined by any specific look,” muses Cho of the starlet. “Her comfort level and her willingness to have fun is endless.”
