Chris McMillan, best known for his work with actress Jennifer Aniston, has signed on as celebrity hairstylist for Living Proof, the company that Aniston co-owns.
According to a news release, McMillan will help with brand building, product development and retail/salon events and programs.
“We couldn’t wait to welcome Chris to the team,” says Living Proof CEO Jill Beraud. “He will help us develop more cutting-edge products with his tremendous energy and ideas while using his incredible talent to inspire stylists and consumers everywhere.”
McMillan has a vast portfolio of editorial work, with covers for Vogue, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, and an impressive roster of celebrity clients that includes Miley Cyrus, Michelle Williams, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Hayden Panettiere. Not a bad head of hair among them.
He also cuts the hair of Jennifer Meyer Maguire, Toby Maguire‘s jewelry-designer wife. McMillan, a native Californian, works out of his own salon on Burton Way in Beverly Hills.
“Chris and I have worked together for years and have always discussed doing something together that would be innovative, fresh and have the actual science behind it,” explains Aniston about the products can be found at select salons, Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, QVC and at Livingproof.com.
It sounds as if McMillan is already doing his new job. “I have clients who have had really damaged hair, and I’ve given them the Restore shampoo and conditioner along with a really good haircut,” he says. “Two months later, when they come back, it’s unbelievable — their hair has grown an inch and a half. It looks healthy. It looks shiny.”
