Jennifer Lopez played “Plead the Fifth” with Andy Cohen for a third time on Watch What Happens: Live. When Cohen asked her about Ben Affleck’s back tattoo of a phoenix rising from the ashes, Lopez didn’t hold back.
“It’s awful!” she said, of her former fiance’s large tattoo. “I mean, I would tell him that. I would tell him, ‘What are you doing?’ ”
“It has too many colors,” added the singer. “His tattoos always had too many colors. They shouldn’t be so colorful. You know what I mean? They should be, like, cooler, I don’t know.”
Lopez isn’t the first of Affleck’s exes to comment on his new ink. Jennifer Garner talked about it in her revealing Vanity Fair cover story.
“You know what we would say in my hometown about that? ‘Bless his heart,’ ” she said in the article, where she talked about her and Affleck’s split. “A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario?”
“I take umbrage,” she said. “I refuse to be the ashes.”
