With a costarring role on BFF Kylie Jenner’s E! show Life Of Kylie, a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a street-style fashion line for plus-size Canadian brand Addition Elle and a recent partnership with skincare brand St. Ives, Jordyn Woods’ star is on the rise.
Speaking on Sunday at the Beautycon Festival L.A., the 20-year-old announced that her size-inclusive activewear line will roll out in the next month, a collab with Kylie Cosmetics is coming soon and she’s also working on an undisclosed project with her 11-year-old sister Jodie, in the audience with their mom Elizabeth.
“There is definitely some color, some good bodysuits, and [pieces] for all body types; I decided to make the line from XS to 3X,” she says of the forthcoming activewear collection. “When I first signed with my agency and started modeling, I was introduced to a whole new world of fashion and body types; in the industry, plus-size starts at a size 8!” she says, compared to the average woman’s clothing size in the U.S. which is a size 16 or 18.

As a girl with curves, Woods has long had to battle idealized body standards. “When I was younger, I was a tomboy and I dressed in huge clothes because it was hard to find clothing to fit my body that I felt confident in and that looked cute like everyone else,” she says. “So I just dressed in big T-shirts. As I got older, I realized that my biggest gift and power was my individuality and no one can take that away from you. After I grasped that concept, I started finding my confidence and experimenting and trying different things. I’m still figuring it out, but it’s working.”
After her father suddenly passed away from cancer last January, Woods turned to exercise as an outlet — “not to look a certain way, but to help me deal with my emotions and decompress.” She has since developed a daily morning workout routine that’s a combination of cardio, weightlifting, bands and squats. “I’m a plus-size model, but as I started to lose weight, some people were commenting that I wasn’t body positive because I was working out,” says Woods, who counts over 5.7 million Instagram followers, “but that’s a concept that I couldn’t really grasp because I think body positivity is loving yourself and wanting to be the best version of you. If you’re creating a healthy lifestyle, I think that is body positive. I wasn’t working out to change anything about myself.”
Since Woods gets the bestie bonus of often testing Kylie Cosmetics products in advance, and even has a raspberry red Jordy Velvet Liquid Lipstick Lip Kit named after her, it was only inevitable that time would bring the inseparable pair further together for a full-blown beauty collab. “Kylie and I have a makeup collaboration coming out soon. We’ve wanted to do this since her company first launched; we’ve been working on it for years!”
The only hints we have are that Woods describes her beauty vibe as “a dewy natural look,” says that her fave products are bronzer, concealer and lip gloss, and she lives for lash extensions.
