Kathy Griffin has shaved her head to support her sister, who is battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
Reporter Yashar Ali broke the news on Twitter, sharing photos of Griffin’s freshly shaven head.

Griffin’s mother, Maggie, confirmed the news on her own Twitter account, writing, “My daughter Kathleen Mary is a wonderful human being,”
The comedian’s brother Gary also suffered from cancer. He passed away in 2014.

Griffin was recently in the spotlight when she was widely criticized for a photo of herself holding a fake severed head made to look like Donald Trump. Following the backlash, Griffin apologized and on Friday said that she is no longer under federal investigation for her actions.
