Katy Perry stepped out in Maison Margiela at this year’s Met Gala in New York.
Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, Perry wore a red décortiqué embroidered wool coat layered over a red tulle and a silk chiffon dress with embroidered satin ribbon embellishment. The John Galliano-designed look was complemented by a red silk tulle veil, polished headpiece and red boots.

This year’s gala theme celebrates the museum’s Costume Institute exhibition “Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” which features approximately 150 womenswear designs that Kawakubo has created for Japanese brand Comme des Garcons since her first presentation at Paris Fashion Week in 1981.
Perry, who serves as one of this year’s co-chairs, covered Vogue‘s May issue in Comme des Garcons.
At last year’s Met Gala, the singer paired her Prada gown with a Tamagotchi.
