Kim Kardashian’s Kids Supply clothing line found itself in hot water after fans noticed that pieces from its latest collection bear a striking resemblance to designs by two of her own favorite brands, Commes des Garcons and Vetements.

The items in question include a shrunken version of a limited-edition Comme des Garcons bomber jacket made in collaboration with Kosho & Co and a sequined silver Vetements dress that the brand made specially for Kardashian’s daughter, North West. The mother-daughter duo were photographed wearing the matching ensembles earlier this year.
Similarities were first noticed by the Instagram account Diet Prada, which regularly posts images of designer knockoffs.
Kids Supply doesn’t deny that the pieces were intended to look like the work of Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo and Vetements‘ Demna Gvasalia. A spokesperson for the brand told Page Six that the looks were an “homage” to the designers, noting that the pieces will be named the “Rei” bomber and “Demna” dress out of “utmost respect” for the pair. They added that 100 percent of proceeds from both pieces will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Considering the priceless exposure that Kardashian provides as a highly visible model for both brands, it will be interesting to see if either fashion house takes action against her clothing line.
Kids Supply did not immediately return The Hollywood Reporter‘s request for comment.
Drop 3 of Kids Supply will be available at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday.
